Eigentlich wollten wir noch eine gemütliche Nacht in der Natur des Red Rock Canyon geniessen, bevor es in den Wahnsinn von Las Vegas ging. Leider war der Campground völlig ausgebucht und somit fuhren wir kurzerhand nach Vegas, wo wir eine erste Nacht im RV Park des Circus Circus verbrachten, bevor wir dann am Sonntag ins Treasure Island im Herzen des Strips wechselten. Dank des $20-Tricks erhielten wir ein zweifach-Upgrade in ein Panoramazimmer mit Blick auf den Strip im 24. Stock. Nicht schlecht! 😉
Vegas ist wirklich so schrill, wie man es aus den Filmen kennt – je grösser/lauter/heller/übertriebener desto besser. Naja, nicht ganz unsere Philosophie. Wir haben eine der berühmten Shows besucht, Le Rêve – The Dream, welche durch ihr Zusammenspiel von Wasser-, Bühnen- und Luftartistik sehr beeindruckend war. Den Casino-Jackpot haben wir leider nicht geholt, aber bankrott sind wir auch nicht. Und somit ganz nach dem Motto „What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas“ wollen wir hier nicht mehr schreiben und setzen unsere Reise Richtung Valley of Fire fort.
We actually wanted to stay one night in the calm of Red Rock Canyon before heading to the Las Vegas madness. Unfortunately, the campground was full and so we decided to head anyways to Vegas. There, we spent one night at the Circus Circus RV park, before checking into our hotel room at Treasure Island on Sunday, in the heart of the strip. Thanks to the $20-trick we got a double upgrade to a panorama room with strip-view on the 24th floor. Not bad! 😉
Vegas is really as mad as known from movies – the bigger/louder/brighter/crazier the better. Oh well. Not really our philosophy. We saw one of the famous artistic shows, Le Rêve – The dream, which was very impressive with its artistics in water, on stage and in the air. We did not hit the jackpot at the casino, but we’re not broke either. Now, according to „What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas“, we will not write anything else but continue our travels to the Valley of Fire.
